Each teacher contributes a distinct mix of skills and experiences, guaranteeing a rich and inclusive educational experience for every learner.

Mrs. Lenihan

I started my teaching journey seven years ago in my local school district as a paraprofessional, assisting in special instruction classes. In my fourth year within the public school system, I made a bold decision to join a nearby homeschool pod, where I taught students from third to fifth grade. During this time, I met Karen Moseng, and we discovered our shared passion for education and the pressing need for such programs in our communities. This collaboration led to the creation of the Hope Homeschool Pod.

Mrs. Moseng

I embarked on my teaching journey in Christian schools after graduating from Calvin College. During this period, I attended graduate school in the evenings to earn my Master’s in Early Childhood Education. I eventually transitioned to public schools, and after seven years, I began homeschooling my three daughters. After a decade of homeschooling, I sought opportunities to re-enter the teaching profession and obtained my Illinois teaching license. While exploring various options, I teamed up with Erica Lenihan, and together we identified a need for a customized educational approach. Consequently, we decided to launch Hope Homeschool Pod, our own program inspired by our experiences to provide support and resources for homeschoolers in our community.
